Amit Bagaria says GenNext Malls should have more entertainment

06 May, 2010

Participating in a Panel Discussion on Generation Next Retail Spaces at the India Shopping Centre Forum, Asipac Chairman Amit Bagaria commented that the single biggest change in next generation malls has to be the addition of many more family entertainment offerings within shopping centres.  He added that, while the retail component of most Indian malls was already catering to the woman shopper, a lot more needs to be put in to attract men, children and senior citizens.  Bagaria also said that malls of the future should also have many more community facilities and services such as a post office, courier companies, driving license issuing authority, sub-registrar's office and many banks.
